Book Clubs and Book Shops and other stuff

At wedding speeches someone usually gets up and says: "Some housekeeping first. Those who parked cars ..." The following is housekeeping and I hope whoever is out there reads on - or goes and moves...

A little bit…

Jacqueline Lunn was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and ever since has been trying to stop freckles spreading across her face. She attended The University of Queensland where she somehow completed an Arts degree and now wishes she worked harder. Not for better marks, but for the pure joy of knowledge. She is married with three children and lives in Sydney.

    Dear Jacqueline,

I have never sat down to write a letter like this before, but I just wanted to let you know how wonderful I thought your book was. I was just riveted with the perceptive insights that you perfectly articulated with your characters. As the narrative travelled back in time, I could feel all my memories of attending an all girls school in North Shore Sydney come flooding back – and I am sure it will resonate with so many other readers in the same way.
Anyway, I am so glad that the first I had read after such a long time was yours and I wish you every success.

    Regards,

    Kylie

    Hi Jacki’
I have just finished reading your book. Only took me a week which is unheard of for me.
I had trouble putting it down, which is always a very good sign when recommending a book to anyone.
I loved it – Didn’t want it to end.
Is the next book a follow-on of these characters?
I want to know if Eve ends up with Sam and what happens to baby Kat?
I think your book is thought provoking, sophisticated and very entertaining.

    I’m so impressed!

    Congratulations.

    Love

    Grandma’ Kay
